Magnesium Stearate

Product Characteristics:

　　Magnesium Stearate is a white or almost white, loose and non-gritty fine powder, mainly composed of a mixture of magnesium stearate and magnesium palmitate. Its core characteristics include strong hydrophobicity, smooth texture, chemical stability, and a three-in-one function of lubrication, anti-adhesion and flow promotion. It is a classic excipient widely used in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic and plastic industries.

　　It is insoluble in common solvents such as water and ethanol, and slightly soluble in hot ethanol and hot diethyl ether. It decomposes into stearic acid and magnesium salts when exposed to strong acids.

　　Chemically stable at room temperature, it does not react with air or water, features good weather resistance and is not easy to deteriorate or decompose. Its aqueous solution is weakly alkaline with a pH value of approximately 7.0, a melting point of about 200°C and a density of 1.028 g/cm³.

Applications:

The magnesium distearate is widely used in the food industry as a lubricant and anticaking agent in tablet compaction.It is also used in cosmetics such as magnesium distearate and eye shadow.

Packaging and Storage

This product is packaged in PP bags, 25kg per bag, and can also be customized according to user requirements. It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from light, with a shelf life of twenty-four months.

Safety Protection

This product should be kept away from contact with eyes, skin, or clothing. In case of splashing onto the body, immediately rinse with plenty of water.
